DeathSantis Strikes Again

And he strikes without repercussion!

Some estimates of his expenditure of Florida taxpayer dollars are around $650,000.00.

So, imagine that. A state of Florida employee decides to spend over half a million dollars of taxpayer money on a national marketing stunt that has no purpose whatsoever.

DeSantis did not provide any service to a Floridian, he did not help any poor immigrants, he did nothing worthy of human effort. DeSantis simply spent taxpayer money, on a public relations stunt with a purpose of furthering his cause as a politician.

Why would DeSantis send the immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard? Why target this particular place as a landing spot for immigrants? Could it be that DeSantis is jealous of the residents of Martha’s Vineyard? Was he hoping to thumb his nose at a club that he can never join? What goal did DeSantis fulfil by shipping the immigrants there?

How does this happen? We have a public officer committing crimes and nothing happens, there are no repercussions and he doesn’t pay for his crimes. Is it legal for a public employee to take taxpayer money and use it for publicity stunts that benefit no one?

I don’t believe that this action is legal. As a taxpayer in the state of Florida, I believe that DeSantis should repay the public coffers every dime of the expense involved in shipping immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

As for Martha’s Vineyard:

“They fed the asylum seekers, clothed them, houses them overnight, then the Republican governor had the National Guard help transport them 7 miles to a different place in Massachusetts to permanently house them to get them immigration lawyers, etc.” @liberalrisky Twitter account.

Thank you Martha’s Vineyard

According to Judd at Popular Information ~

Popular Information has obtained documentary evidence that migrants from Venezuela were provided with false information to convince them to board flights chartered by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R). The documents suggest that the flights were not just a callous political stunt but potentially a crime.

Last Wednesday, two planes landed in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, and dropped off about 50 migrants from Venezuela. DeSantis quickly took credit. The migrants were used as political pawns in the hopes of provoking a negative reaction from a liberal community.

“When people are brought to their front door, they go berserk,” DeSantis said. “Their virtue signaling is a fraud.” But the people in Martha’s Vineyard did not go berserk. Instead, they rallied together to provide shelter, food, clothing, and other necessities for the group. On Friday, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker (R) facilitated their voluntary relocation to Joint Base Cape Cod, which is “a safe temporary accommodation appropriate for the specific needs of families and individuals.”
